Let's talk about the Post Secondary Enrollment Option (taking college classes for free during high school). Sign up for the informational session on Monday, January 12th from 12:30-1:30 by emailing or visiting your advisor or school counselor. This meeting is for students who have not participated in PSEO.

We also spent time decorating cookies with a Terra Nova alumni who shared their love of baking 🍪—a meaningful (and delicious) way to connect across generations. Paired with an incredible potluck 🥘 and time exploring our school forest 🌲, these moments captured what community at Terra Nova is all about. 💚

From belting out songs at karaoke 🎤 to intense rounds of role-playing (Werewolf kept everyone guessing 🐺) and jumping into board games ♟️, the energy was high all around. We also loved decorating cookies alongside a Terra Nova alumni who shared their passion for baking 🍪—a sweet reminder of the lasting connections in our community. Add in a phenomenal potluck 🥘 and, of course, time spent out of the classroom and into the world in our school forest 🌲, and it was the perfect way to celebrate before break.

Pancake Mix (just add water style), Maple Syrup, Whipped Cream, Fruit Topping, and Chocolate Chips (for a fun class celebration!)
The Practical Needs:
Spade Shovels, Toboggan-style Sleds, New or Used Hand Tools, Humidifiers
The Healthy Needs:
Healthy, Shelf-Stable Snacks (Protein Bars, Meat Sticks, Granola Bars, dried fruit - no fridge required)
Weekly Fresh Greens and Fruit for our classroom reptiles 🦎

The ACT is a college entrance exam with focus sections on English, Reading, Math, Science, and Writing. It can be helpful when applying to college and for scholarship consideration as well. Test preparation seminars will be offered to anyone interested, though there are many good testing resources available online or through your local library.

Our students had an awesome time learning about native and global wildlife, observing animal behaviors up close, and making connections to our environmental and science projects back at school. From the Tropics Trail to the Minnesota Lodge, every stop sparked curiosity and great conversations.
