✨ EXPERT DAY HIGHLIGHTS ✨ On April 4th Our students were inspired by some amazing professionals who shared their journeys. Katarina Frank from Saint Cloud Technical and Community College’s gave students a virtual tour of their Robotics and Automation Technology department. She also shared her knowledge VEX Robotics & STEAM Outreach Coordinator and explained how STEM education creates real-world opportunities. Thank you Katarina! 🎶📚 Terra Nova High school students recently wrapped up a powerful history seminar studying the Vietnam Era, Civil Rights Movements, and other social movements of the 1960s and 70s through the lens of the music of the times. They discussed songs with a message from multiple artists including Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, Marvin Gaye, and Joni Mitchell among others. Music was an effective vehicle for students to engage in conversations about justice, activism, and how the past still echos through today's world. A special shoutout to Al Neff, a radio personality from WXYG the Goat, located in Sauk Rapids. Al was an incredible resource in designing this project. He invited students to tour the radio station, provided guidance in designing our class, and stopped by Terra Nova to reflect on the seminar. 🎭✨ Behind the scenes magic! Terra Nova students got an exclusive backstage pass to the incredible world of Delano Theater's Hadestown at the Delano Performing Arts Center!
